Our Mission & Vision:
Late Shri Baba Bhaskar Pawar had dreamed of a poverty-free and loneliness-free world where all senior citizens and physically challenged persons could live with dignity, peace, and security. Keeping this in view, he opened a comprehensive care facility which provides not just shelter and food but also medical, social, and recreational care to its residents. The Vrudhashram stays true to his ideals, always working towards increasing the quality of life among its members.
Our Services & Facilities:
Baba Bhaskar Pawar Trust offers an array of free services and amenities to the elderly, handicapped, and other disadvantaged citizens of society such as:
Basic Necessities:
✔ Free shelter, clothing, and basic provisions for the poor and needy without any regard to caste or religion.
✔ Free nutritious vegetarian meals, tea, and breakfast on a daily basis.
✔ Pure organic milk sourced from our in-house cow shed, home to 10-15 cows.
Healthcare & Medical Support:
✔ Regular free eye and health checkups conducted by associated doctors.
✔ Free first aid treatments and medicines provided to all residents.
✔ Care for mentally disordered and bedridden individuals, ensuring round-the-clock support.
✔ Provision of free prosthetic body parts and wheelchairs for physically challenged individuals.
Social & Recreational Activities:
✔ Games indoor and outdoor to keep the old active and busy.
✔ Library well-stocked with books and papers to promote reading and sharing knowledge.
✔ Entertainment sessions with music, cultural programs, and guest performances.
✔ Celebrations of important festivals to enhance a sense of belonging and happiness.
✔ Periodic social and pilgrimage outings to sacred and historical places throughout India.
Self-Sufficiency & Rehabilitation:
✔ Offering income-generating opportunities to the elderly and handicapped through small-scale industries, where they produce homemade candles, camphor cubes, incense sticks, and cotton mops.
✔ Fostering gardening and agricultural pursuits, as the ashram boasts a beautiful green garden full of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
✔ Animal care —our garden has rabbits, turtles, dogs, and cats, and it provides a serene and restorative setting for the residents.
How Do We Provide Food for Our Elderly Residents?
At Baba Bhaskar Pawar Vrudhashram Trust, we are dedicated to ensuring that no elderly person goes to bed hungry. Many underprivileged seniors struggle with poverty, health issues, or lack of family support, making access to nutritious food a daily challenge.
Through our efforts, we provide wholesome and nutritious meals every day, helping to improve their health and well-being. However, we cannot do this alone. Your support can make a difference!
